I’ve loved to dance since I was a kid. In fact, my Dad’s nickname for me was “popcorn” because I was always bouncing around. Weekend nights, my parents would clear their ginormous wood coffee table so I could use it as a stage to perform for them.
Recently, I’ve wanted to learn some hip-hop moves and also find something else I could incorporate into working out, which I really dislike doing, so anything that can keep my attention works.
Here’s a list below of apps and sites I’ve tried:
- Zumba Dance – Get a full-body workout while having fun and learning some new dance moves. Different dance workouts from all over the world make things interesting and virtual classes are all led by top instructors.
- Just Dance Now – This app is perfect for dance lovers and those who want to get a great workout at own home. Lots of dance routines to choose from dance teachers from the film industry.
- Dance Party – Tap this app if you are just a starter or expert dancer who wants to sweat it out. Choose instructors that teach a vast selection of dance workouts in different styles and levels.
- Dance with Me – This app is easy to customize your workouts to fit your specific goals and preferences and perfect for anyone who enjoys dancing but is a little shy about it. It has a ton of different dance routines to choose from.
- Dance Fit – This app offers a more personalized dance workout experience with different dance workouts in different styles and levels.
- Just Dance NOW – This is my favourite dance app because it boasts a wide selection of dance routines and songs—including hip hop, pop, rock, and electronic dance music. If a beginner or an experienced dancer, routines go from easy to expert. It also includes game modes, including a mode where you can create your own custom dance routines and is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Wii, as well as on smartphones and tablets, so you can use it at home or on the go.
TIP: There are many hip hop dance apps available that allow you to learn dances at home. Some other popular options include Dance tutorials and Dance Dance Revolution. Each of these apps features a variety of hip hop dance routines that you can learn at your own pace.
