Kauai: 26TH ANNUAL KOLOA PLANTATION DAYS
It’s time for the 26th Annual Koloa Plantation Days festivities on one of Hawaii’s most beautiful islands. Kauai is host to this nine-day long festival staring July 23 through July 31, and welcomes visitors and residents to a celebration commemorating plantation life on the island of Kauai.
There are over 25 family-friendly events including cultural performances, plantation era talks and exhibits, film nights, craft fairs, local food events, outdoor activities exploring the area, sporting events, keiki and family activities, the Plantation Days rodeo, evening Hoolaulea (celebration), and an historic parade and park celebration. Founded in 1835, Koloa Plantation was Hawaii’s first sugar plantation where laborers from Asia and Europe lived together sharing traditions of their homelands.
