Pølsers in Copenhagen

DOP Hot Dogs

Pølsers in Copenhagen, say what? Well, if sausages are your thing, and you can eat them for breakfast, lunch or dinner, (and a snack in between) then Copenhagen is the destination for you!

In a place where there are more Michelin-starred restaurants than the rest of Europe, locals will often opt for their local cart to grab a Pølser, also known as a hot dog, rather than dine on a pricey multi-course meal.

Claus Christensen opened his hot dog business six years ago next to the Round Tower (Rundetaarn) in central Copenhagen. Since then, he’s become famous in the foodie world for elevating the Pølser to a whole new level.

Claus is taking these outrageously great hot dogs to the public via his mobile restaurant. Make sure to look for Den Økologiske Pølsemand, also known as DOP–Christensen’s mobile stand.

To make sure everything is fresh and tasty, he makes sure to source local and organic items. Since, everything off his cart is organic, the sausages and all the fixn’s are out of this world.

Don’t miss the organic mash, which is a mix of potato and parsnip for a side dish.

Now, my question is, does he offer a veggie Pølser?
