IGUAZÃš FALLS CHOSEN AS FINALIST IN
NEW 7 WONDERS COMPETITION ANNOUNCED AT PRESS CONFERENCE AT IGUAZÃš GRAND RESORT
New York, February 12, 2010 – IguazÃº Grand Resort, Spa & Casino, the only full-service resort on the Argentine side of IguazÃº Falls, was chosen by the New 7 Wonders as the location for the Swiss organization’s press conference following a short visit to the “Land of the Falls.” IguazÃº Falls is the only Argentine destination to be one of the 28 finalists in the New 7 Wonders contest, in which 224 countries and 430 candidates participated.

The Vote Cataratas campaign (www.votecataratas.com) includes the promotion of Argentine and Brazilian figures, such as former soccer player Gabriel Batistuta and the Lalo Mir, as well as the promotion of the Falls as an international tourist site and natural phenomenon. Winning the prize of being one of the New 7 Wonders will be advantageous to the region in boosting the flow of tourists to IguazÃº in particular and Argentina as a whole.
