The Annual SalsaFest Sizzles Once Again in Downtown Safford September 24th & 25th!

Safford, AZ. –Salsa lovers start the countdown, the hottest event in Southern Arizona-the 4th Annual EuroFresh SalsaFest is right around the corner! On September 24 & 25, historic Town Square in downtown Safford will be a celebration of everything salsa with hot air balloons, salsa making competition, skydivers and more! The SalsaFest will be a fun-filled day of tongue-tingling salsa, music, entertainment, and food for the entire family to enjoy, including the opportunity to win some great prizes and benefit a good cause!
Festivities kick off Friday, September 24th at 5:00 pm when downtown Safford will be aglow as the hot air balloons line Main Street and light up the city. People will be able to enjoy live entertainment all night and sample some of the greatest salsas in the Southwest at the Taste of the Salsa Trail event. Wake up early Saturday, September 25th to watch the hot air balloons lift off at 6:15am from Safford High School. SalsaFest activities will begin at 8:30am at the Safford Town Square.
New to the SalsaFest this year is the SkyHawks professional Skydiving team. On Saturday afternoon the SkyHawks will perform an entertaining show as they land in the middle of Safford town square to announce the winner of the SalsaFest Salsa Challenge.
Returning to this year’s SalsaFest is the salsa making competition. The public is invited to participate in the judging for the People’s Choice Awards in the Salsa Challenge Tent. Bring your taste buds and sample all the salsa entries from Salsa Trail® restaurants and amateur salsa chefs as they dish up their special concoctions. Other SalsaFest favorites returning this year include a Festival Marketplace, Salsa music and dancing, food demonstrations, live entertainment all day, chile roasting and Jalapeño and Salsa Eating Competitions. The SalsaFest will also have great give aways from local Arizona attractions, including grand prize resort stays at Las Palomas beach and golf resort and Peñasco Del Sol hotel in Sandy Beach, Rocky Point, Mexico. The Fourth Annual EuroFresh SalsaFest will be good old fashioned fun for the entire family to enjoy. All proceeds from the Salsafest go to the Safford’s Lion Club whose mission is to empower volunteers to serve and support their communities. Marissa Peasnall is a beneficiary of the Lions club efforts and received a scholarship for college. “I cannot begin to express the gratitude that I feel.
